    Hey!

    Faces don’t show no matter if I select the option! Actually when I check Show Faces after save the check disappears and faces never show on the site!

    Great plugin, thanks!

    One question, it created quite a bit of empty space below the button, how can I fix that?

    Great plugin Ahmed!

    One Question: I only want it to show up in the single pages, not on the homepage. How can I de-activate it on the index??

    Is there a function tag that I can use to insert it into a template?! I do not want it before or after content, I want to place it in specific locations. Is this possible?!

    Ahmed:

    You have to be using XFBML and you have to enter valid AppID.. and that’s it hover on the like after clicking and it should work

    Hey Ahmed, is there anything else i have to do to enable xfbml other than creating a facebook app and providing the app number in your plugin?

    I am using XFBML option with my AppID included…am I able to have the comment box pop up after someone likes it? Also, after it is liked, facebook shows a link but it is always to the root url…not to the page that was liked. Is there a way to have it generate a link back to the page that was liked and not just the homepage?!

    After deleting the FBlikes table from the database everything is ok and Faces appear again!

    It will be nice if we can also change the height of the Like box as the faces are very close with the letters below them.

    Thanks

    Hi Ahmed! Thank you for making this easy! One suggestion…
    It would be helpful to have the option of disabling the Like button on certain pages by ID.

    Cheers!

    @Manogr

    I add new two feature:

    1- recreate the database table right from the plugin.
    2- adjust the height as you asked :)..

    @Mike.. glad you like the plugin :)

    Soon you will be able to place the like button anywhere you want by typing [Like_Button]… :)

    @Kurt…

    You’re welcome, I will add this feature in the next update :)

    @Ahmed:

    Thanks for putting this together and making it so easy. I have a photography website and wanted to make it easy for people to share my pics with this button on their FB page. When it pops up in your news stream, it seems to just pull the first image from the page (my logo). Is there a way to specify which image it grabs (maybe by counter or index)?

    Hey, great plugin. I’m having a problem with it though. When I try to like something on my site, it gives me an error stating that “You must specify an URL as part of this widget or API.”

    Do I have it set up wrong?

    Great Ahmad,

    I have a little problem with this plugin I hope you help me to figure out the solution :
    I activated the plugin to be after the posts, then it shows up at the home page after every entry, and if someone press “like” for specific entry (From the homepage) then it appears at the whole “like” boxes in the other entries shown in the homepage.
    I want to link every “like button” to it’s relevant entry in the homepage, so if I press “like” for the first post, it doesn’t show up at the other posts too. and if this won’t work, I prefer to disable showing it at the homepage.

    How to do that :)

    Thanx in advance

    Great work Ahmed.

    Have installed the plugin and it works great on the ‘blog’ section of our site.

    Thanks for the plugin, Ahmed!

    I’d like to see the following addition to the plugin, to support different locales:

    On line 418 in “facebook-like-button/Add_Facebook_Like.php” could you change the line from this:
    "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js";
    to this:
    "//connect.facebook.net/' . get_locale() . '/all.js";

    I’ve tested this on my german blog (with the de_DE locale) and on my english blog (with the en_US) locale and it’s working fine.

    There’s a problem with (de_AT) though, but WordPress doesn’t offer an AT-localised version so it won’t be a problem. Just wanted to mention it, because there are probably other countries that aren’t supported by FB, too.
    I tested the fallback language (just “de”), but this is not supported. Maybe there’s a list of supported locales out there and you can fallback to en_US if it’s not in the list?

    Thanks again,
    anty

    great plugin … it works well.

    So, one request, so … If I want to develop the sociabilisation on my site, it would be nice, as widget, or simple require to put on website or call function … anyway … put where i want, like last comments, last “I like” from my site.

    Possible ? crazy ? let me know.

    Thank you man.

    Another small detail: You might want to remove the trailing br-tag in $iframe and $xfbml. This adds another line that really bugs me and could be added with the class-feature anyway.

    Great Plugin! Hope it will work for me!

    Has anyone been able to get the dialog comment box to show up using XFBML option? This is how I want to use this plugin yet I have not been able to get it to come up.

    Also, would be great if you could add “None” under position because I want to use a template tag like to call function (or whatever it would be). Is this a possibility with the next update?!

    Stephen:

    I’m still having trouble with the extra space below the Like button. Tried setting the height, but that didn’t seem to change anything. Any help?

    That is caused by the br-tag I mentioned in #41. I think you could remove it by adding margin-bottom: -1em to the class you specified in the admin panel. Or you could edit the plugin source…

    Ahmed – I’ve been using your fb like button – and I love it! However, today when someone ‘likes’ and leaves a comment, on THEIR fb profile a different thumbnail is showing up. Not the thumbnail from the blog post. Instead it’s a thumbnail of my logo. It didn’t used to do this – any thoughts? Couldn’t find anything in the settings that seemed like it would help.

    Hi Ahmed,

    Thanks for the plugin, I “Like” it very much. However, there seems to be a problem with my posts page on Internet Explorer. I’ve manually added a Like Button in the main page, because no matter which plugin I used, it never shows up on my home page, I guess it’s something with the theme. But I don’t want to change my theme, so I am okay with using two methods.

    The thing with my Post pages is that if you use Internet Explorer to enter any posts, the Like Button doesn’t show up. You have to click on Pages, like About or Forum, which immediately shows the Like button. Afterwards you can click to any posts and the Like will magically shows up, with the correct info too.It feels like something to do with cache, since once I am able to see the Like button on the post, I can close IE, and open IE again to my post, it will magically show up again. Only when I clear my browser cache, then it won’t appear until I enter a Page like About or Forum. Any clues?? It works perfectly under Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

    Sorry my post is too long~ heehee, I want to be clear with my question.

    This is a problem, because no reader will click around different pages to click Like to my post, right? This is drastically reducing my readers “liking” the post, limiting to non-IE users.

    :(
    Can you help me check this out?? Thanks a million.

    Hi Ahmed,
    I’ve installed your plug-in some time before, and it has been working fine with me. Since about 3 weeks, it stopped showing the number of likes for posts, even though the statistics show that posts have been liked more than once. What could the problem be?
    I upgraded to wordpress 3.0, could that be the problem? Isn’t this plug-in compatible with V3.0?
